Silicone bleed is killing your optical and relay assemblies
After thermal cycling, standard silicone pads release D3-D20 cyclic siloxanes. In optical transceivers, relay contacts, or sensor housings, this creates field failures that are nearly impossible to trace back to the TIM. Your customer blames your board, not the pad.
